The PC utility software (USW) and the service cable is needed to connect PPM-3 with PC.
The USW is the software that is installed on the PC, notebook or desktop computer and is used for configuration of the PPM-3 & other Multi-line 2 products.
The USW is normally obtained from DEIF website: www.deif.com
older units will only have USB or Serial.
A service cable is a normal Printer to USB port (USB A to USB B 2.0) cable easily available in the market.
Newer units will also have an Ethernet port that can also be used to connect to the unit.
the PC and Controller will need to be the the same IP range
if the controller has IP 192.168.10.120
the PC trying to connect will need to be in the same range, (192.168.10.XXX)
the PC can not have the same IP as another unit on the network.
